SUB-SYSTEMS OF HOME AUTOMATION

The home automation system was initially thanked like control systems dedicated for one function. As an example: to control the lighting system, or to control the temperature in the rooms of house, to assure the security again the intruders or to assure the identification of persons that try to access the house, and so on.

Home automation sub-systems

Between the parameters and functions that are controlled we mentioned:
The lighting sub-system that suppose the illumination of rooms, using sub-system including power network, switchers, bulbs, motion detectors and controller that could switch on/off automatically the lights, or / and can open or close the window blinds in order to allow or not the sun light, can adapt the light intensity at the needs of occupants of rooms and can save energy by optimizing the strategies of control.

The thermal sub-system controls the temperature and humidity that are maintained in preset limits. This sub-system includes: temperature and humidity sensors, electro-valves and water pumps, ventilators, air flow switchers, one or more controllers and the network that put together all these elements.

The security and access sub-system includes: a lot of motion sensors, connection elements actuators for doors and gates, CCD/CMOS cameras central controllers and surveillance elements and the networks that interconnect all these elements. Household appliances that are represented by freezers refrigerators, ovens, coking machines, and so on.

All the sub-systems and elements above mentioned includes microprocessors or microcontrollers that are programmed and the “intelligence” of these are the result of owner programs.
