Welcome to Eco-Town !
For those interested to change their life with a “eco-life”, the first four “eco-towns will be completed until 2016 in Britain. The purpose of these new urban centers is, according to developers of the project, first of all, one educational: lucky residents of futuristic houses (about 2500 in each eco-town) should serve as example to other citizens of the country (in England, over a quarter of CO2 emissions generated by energy consumed in residential sector).
Sooner or later, in the opinion of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, everyone will be required to save water, electricity and heating; in new towns is provided an energy consumption extremely low: each house will be covered with solar panels, will have double glazing and insulating system for recycling waste-water. Also, at every street corner, residents of these eco-towns will be able to charge the batteries and electric cars,and everywhere will be centers for rent bicycles, and public services will cover every square inch of eco settlements.

How much will cost these futuristic urban “green” centers ? Gordon Brown, convinced of the usefulness of the project, said that for the project has allocated the equivalent of 280 million euros.
