How do you choose the model that is right for you ?

Depend on your needs but it all comes down to space (memory). With enough videos and movies, you can easily run out of storage on a 160GB iPod classic, let alone a teeny flash-memory-based iPod touch.

So here are some questions you need to ask yourself:

1. Do you have a big music library ?

If the answer is yes, then the iPod models with extra space ( 16GB or more ) is for you and helps you to store additional music and podcasts, but you don’t need to bring your entire media collection with you and also you can buy music on the go with the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store.

2. How many videos or pictures do you want to carry around ?

A single movie can occupy more than a gigabyte of storage.Pictures are pretty small in general ( on normal resolutions / on more than 300dpi can get bigger then 300mb), but if you carry a few thousand of them around, they consume some serious storage. If you travel a lot, and you may want to watch movies or tv shows, watch family album in the time of travel, is better to buy iPod models with extra space ( 16GB or more ).

3 .Do you need to carry a lot of data ?

You can use your iPod Touch as a data-storage device, to bring data along with you on the road. If you think you might need to do this, those extra gigabytes could be put to good use.

4. How long do you plan to use this iPod Touch ?

If you have already an old model of ipod Touch, and you want to buy a new one, maybe is better to save your pennies now in the hope that a better unit with more memory debuts soon, and the price for the model will want to buy now will be reduced.
